"I finished Feng Shui Mommy in two days. This is my first pregnancy and I had so many questions that revolved around the fear aspect of pregnancy and childbirth. Sure, the internet is a bottomless cesspool of information - most of it terrifying. Feng Shui Mommy appeased me. My anxiety turned into excitement. Now I'm aware of what my body is capable of doing all on its own and all of my strength is waiting to be used in pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood. Thank you for helping me recognize that power!"

Her approach is holistic yet entertaining, deep yet relatable, and it makes you laugh out loud while you tackle the big changes and fears pregnancy brings. In this book Bailey teaches women how to care for themselves on all levels, and she allows them to easily and effectively step into the enormous sea of transformation of pregnancy and motherhood. This book is like having a trusted and wise sister to hold your hand and tell you everything you need to know as you embark on this journey.”

“This book is very well written and easy to read, with excellent ideas to make your birth experience the best it can be. Every birth experience is unique; childbirth is primal, and your experience is influenced by your culture. Fear of the unknown makes the experience worse, and preparation makes all the difference. Being open to what you and your baby need will make your experience better. The goal of every delivery is a healthy mom and healthy baby. This guide is a tool that may help you find balance and comfort in your life overall, not only in childbirth.”
— Kristi Schoeld, MD

"Mind/Body/Spirit principles are finally showing up in the world of pregnancy/childbirth and Gaddis is at the forefront of it. Her own pregnancy was an unexpected push in a new philosophical direction and she has made the most of it. Finding limited information to help her through the shift and making the rest up as she went along, she made careful note of not only what kept her going but also helped her to maximize the new experiences toward enlightenment (and a return to sanity). She tells readers that it begins by getting honest. The feelings are messy (beginning with the sudden blow to personal identity) but they must be faced if one is to find the buried treasures contained within the powerful experience of bringing another soul into incarnation. Gaddis used the five elements of Feng Shui, applied to three levels (physical, mental, spiritual), to anchor her perceptions and process what she was experiencing. With or without that framework, she has written a book which offers pregnant women and new mothers a way to maintain balance in all areas of their lives and always find the joy in what is an extremely stressful process."

"I recently had the chance to review Feng Shui Mommy: Creating Balance and Harmony for Blissful Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Motherhood. I was intrigued by the idea of balance and harmony, and bliss in the face of the challenges of motherhood.
There were elements of the book I really liked. I liked the focus on working with your natural tendencies and making adjustments to focus on balance, on keeping everything in harmony, and of really being able to enjoy even the hard experiences. It also really encourages moms to trust their own intuition, which is valuable advice, since what works well for one mom might not work well for another, and there's nothing wrong with doing something differently (as long as it's still safe).
There are specific suggestions for all four trimesters (including immediately after birth) to help ease stress and prepare for the next stage. The book also touches on a lot of topics, including feeding, birthing positions, and more."

"Bailey is hilarious. I’m sure we’d get along great in a Mommy group. The book is very encouraging, yet honest about the process of becoming a mother. It is really applicable for a first time mom or a seventh time mom like myself. We all know pregnancy is this giant miracle, the piece of creative work here on earth. But we also know it comes with hemorrhoids, stretch marks, uncontrollable belching, and plenty of other super fun things they write entire pregnancy books about. Bailey acknowledges these unfortunate parts while still reveling in the miraculousness of it all."
