Calm Kit Ideas

Engaging the five senses helps shift the brain out of fight-or-flight and back into balance.

o   Touch: soft fabric or stress ball

o   Sight: glitter jar or calming photo

o   Sound: chime, sound bowl, or mini music box

o   Smell: lavender oil on a tissue or citrus peel

o   Taste: peppermint candy or a sprig of mint

Tip: You can have a calm kit to use at home, and one that you leave in the car that includes smaller, more portable items.
